About the Artist
Raised in a creative family of sculptors, painters and musicians, Sherry has been deeply involved with art since early childhood, and art remains an intrinsic and vital part of her life. She graduated from the State of New York at New Paltz where she received her B.S. in art education. Sherry has studied art and art history both here and abroad. Pastel is her medium of choice. Her work is a mix of impressionism and realism, a style she calls artistic realism.
Her “way” with animals is obvious as each portrait exudes the true “presence” of her subject. Her still life and landscapes are rich, warm and inviting. “I paint my life, what’s in it and what’s around me.” |
